Orientation in London is just exactly like holiday. We had two orientation trips and one of the trips is a one day trip to Brighton which was on last Sunday. We paid 10 pounds for this trip and all I would say is, it was really worth it for such a beautiful place.

The coach picked us up from our halls of residence at 8am sharp and then off we began our journey to Brighton. Right before that, I’ve got no idea how does the place look like and all that I know was there is a beach at Brighton. It took us around 2 hours to reach there.

We reached Brighton around 10am and there were not much people yet because it was still early. I got really excited the moment I got down from the coach because they have their amusement park which is called “Brighton Pier” build above the sea and it is really amazing!

The amusement park is not really very huge but the attractions they have is really attractive. They have some thrill rides and kid’s ride as well but they cost like 4 pounds per ride which is pricy. Some of the attractions they have are rather fascinating and I just love the music they used for those attractions.

Brighton Pier is really a great place to hang out especially for family. The whole place is just so relaxing and the weather is really windy because it is located at the sea side. I could remember the very first thing that everyone did there was nonstop snapping pictures including me!

Brighton pebble beach was really nice! Although the weather is cold but there were still people swimming and surfing by the sea. It was my first time stepping on a pebble beach and not sandy beach. I wonder where all the pretty pebbles come from, and when the sun shines on the sea surface, there is only one word to describe “Beautiful”.

Around noon, we were checking out some places for lunch and glad that we enjoyed our lunch in a right place just beside the pebble beach. They were selling fish and chips, burgers and I had my first fish and chips there because it has been years I wanna try out UK “fish and chips” since my dad has been telling me how delicious it is... each time he visits UK.

Well.....the fish and chips here are huge and I just love it! It cost like 3.50 pounds each and it was all worth it. We sat there for more than an hour and Rachel from Hong Kong joined us when we were about to finish our lunch and so we just continue chatting and enjoy the nice view of Brighton.

After lunch, we went shopping and hang around at Brighton and there are so many things to see over there. Their famous tourist shopping place called “The Lanes” was just so crowded and there were many activities going on along the street. They have live band playing, people dancing and their music was just great!

Around evening, there were more and more people at the beach and they have lots of stalls selling souvenirs along the beach. After too much of walking around, we got really tired but still we walked back to Brighton Pier amusement park to hang around again.

After 7 hours of fun at Brighton, the coach came and fetches us back at 5pm and we reach Oakwood around 7.30 because of the bad jam. Me and Kaka didn’t went straight back to Uni but we went Tesco to get some food stuff for dinner and we were so tired by then.

Time flies.....it has been 8 days since I arrived in London. These 8 days was just like real holiday for me and I really do have lots of lots of fun exploring around. Classes starting in 3 days but I study only like 2 or 3 days per week....so....I have to make sure I make good use of my free time here. Remind me to do exercise and go to the Gym!

Last Saturday was another great day! I woke up at 7am and took a nice hot bath. We had an orientation trip to Central London and the coach picked us up at 9am. We nearly miss the trip because I just found out about the trip half an hour before the coach arrived.

London is really London.....tourist everywhere and it is just so busy and crowded everywhere especially during the weekends. Around 1pm, we got down at Central London itself and went for lunch but that place is all about western food. So...we had some sandwich, baguette and croissant but they are all pricey.

Middlesex University!!!

Good morning London!!! Last Friday was initially my first day in UK and it was a beautiful morning. The weather here is around 18 degree at the moment and it is just nice for me. I slept really well for my first night here because the bed and comforter are really comfortable plus I was really tired after arriving here. For the first day, we were given free breakfast and lunch.

Me, jess, Min Li and Kaka went to the student union bar for breakfast which is just 5 minutes walk from my room and it’s pretty near. I really do love the breakfast here because they serve all my favourites!!! It was sausage, bake beans, mushrooms and bacons and they taste really good.....I love it but it is all fattening and I really have to be careful on my diet.

After breakfast, we went for the international student orientation and there were quite a number of students from all around the world like Japan, Hong Kong, China, America, Malaysia and many more!!! The people and students here were really friendly and helpful.

After the orientation, we headed to student union bar again for lunch and this time we had burgers, chips, pizza and pasta to choose from. I had burger and chips and the portion was huge. After lunch, there were nothing much to do and so I went back my room and go on webcam with my dad and brother...really happy to see them and I just felt like I am home. My mom went Singapore with all my aunties for holiday...so didn’t get to see her on webcam.

Then, I went out with Kaka and we took our campus bus which is called the “Golden Boy” to our nearest underground station which is Oakwood. We walk around and did some groceries shopping at our nearby mini-Tesco. They have all the food stuff there and the prices were pretty reasonable especially chocolates!!!

On The Way to London!!! Right now, I’m blogging at Dubai International Airport, while waiting for transit to London Heathrow airport, together with Wei Tieng and Kaka at McD. We have to wait for 5 hours and take another connection flight to London. Sounded really long eh...but actually is not that long for me because I can blog!

We reached Dubai around 5am in the morning but the feeling is just weird because there were lots of lots of people here even though is early in the morning and the airport is just really busy. Besides, Dubai airport is huge and has lots of duty free shop and anyone could just spend hours shopping around!

Well, our next flight to London Heathrow was at 9.50am and it was another 6 hours flight. This time, I enjoyed the flight even more because we had first class service although we were with economy class. The flight attendant took pictures of three of us with those instant cameras and each of us was given a picture. Besides, they even gave each of us one pack of Emirates souvenir and treat us really nice. I would really recommend Emirates to anyone.

We had another two meals on this flight and we had total of four meals on two flights...lol. The meals were great!!! After the long journey, we finally touch down at London Heathrow at 2 something in the afternoon and there were already students from Middlesex University waiting for us at the airport.

We took bus to our Uni and it took us around 2 hours because of the massive jam. Means...my journey to London took me nearly 24 hours. We reached University in the evening and we check in the hostel around that time with our freaking heavy 38kg luggage and I was so tired by then.

Well, when I first saw my room, I felt really down and the whole hostel looks pretty old but my room is kind of spacious because I got the corner room. I’ve started to miss my own room but the lucky thing is I’m just next door to all my friends...so it’ll be really fun!!!

Anyhow, the hostel is really clean and the wash rooms are really very clean and tidy because they have someone to clean it every single day. Besides, we have cleaner to vacuum our room once a week...how nice!!! I just had a little jet lack because I slept at 10pm but woke up 5am in the morning which was actually Malaysian time 10am...lol.

I tried to pack and fits everything into my huge luggage bag on that day I fly and it was kind of a last minute right??!!?? Around 10pm, I headed to KLIA with my parents, brother, cousins, aunties and uncle. All of them around 11 people sent me off and my buddy Poh-E came too!!! Aww...I’m gonna miss them so much!!!

We reached KLIA around 11pm and Kaka was already there. I checked in together with Wei Tieng and Kaka and guess what? Our 2am flight on Emirates airline was full of people. After checked in, we hang out at McD to have some late supper before I went in to the immigration.

Time flies, around 12am midnight, I had to go in the immigration two hours before my flight departure time at 2am....means it’s time to wave and hug goodbye. Surprisingly.....three of us didn’t have emotional breakdown but instead we waved happily to our love ones. It was still unbelievable for me.......lol

We got into the plane at 2am but it departs at only 2.25am. Well, for emirates airline, the seats were pretty comfortable and we had to travel for 7 hours before reaching Dubai International airport. The food was surprisingly real good and it taste really nice!!! Really do enjoy the flight.... Fly Fly Fly!!!

Happy Mid Autumn Festival!!! I had party at my house last Saturday night with my relatives and cousins and it was kind of a last minute and random plan. Everyone was really tired after attending my cousin brother’s wedding lunch but how can we miss out party right!!?!!

It was a crazy but freaking happening and fun party that night and all that I know of was, everyone was laughing happily and enjoying the companies. The next thing we did was trying to have some fun with lanterns. At first, there were only four of us, my brother, 2 cousins and me playing the lantern and the elderly were chilling and chatting inside the living room. Then when four of us were about to go for a walk with our lanterns, all my aunties and uncles came out and started to pose and took pictures with those lanterns. It was really hilarious and they looked real happy wey...lol.

Last Saturday was my cousin brother’s happy wedding day and it was just awesome! I woke up really early at 5.45am to get myself ready and it has been really long I didn’t wake up that early. I was really tired but I force myself to wake up because I didn’t really sleep well that night.
I know it sounded too early to wake up that early for a wedding ceremony but my mom and I have to reach Wesley Methodist Church at 7.15am and meet up with some of my cousins and then we headed to the bride’s house at Cheras to pick up the bride.

After church wedding, we headed straight to Royal China restaurant at KL for wedding lunch. The wedding started off with both bride and bridegroom singing and walking towards each other and it was kind of special. The lunch seems really long and has almost every dish left over because some of my cousins didn’t really sit down and eat, and they were really busy taking videos and pictures.

Last Friday was truly an unbelievable day for me. After I came back from violin lessons, I was shock and very excited to see a Yamaha grand at my music room! I knew they’re gonna delivered the grand to my house on that day but I just didn’t know they did it that fast. All I know is, I shouted in front of my dad when I saw the grand because I was too happy!!! LOL....

Last Wednesday I went to 1U again....I know I just went there one day before, but couldn’t help it because I had another gathering and this time I meet up with Mun Wei, Lily, Min Li, Jessica and Poh Yee. I reached at 5pm and my mom asked me to get some moon cakes for my uncles and so I walk all the way to the old Wing to get those moon cakes and then walk back to new wing to meet up with the girls. It was tiring because the moon cakes were quite heavy.

After meet up with the girls, we went in to one of the camera shop to check out some cams because our Min Li wanna get a cam and joined the cams lovers at UK....lol. So, we check out a few brands but I personally love Sony cameras the most! I finally got myself a 2GB sony memory stick for my cam so I can take more pictures!!! I was thinking of getting a 4GB memory stick but I better not because the more memory I got in my cam, the more pictures I’ll take.

We spent like one hour in that particular shop and Min Li finally got herself a Lumix cam. All of us were real hungry and we went Sakae Sushi for dinner. It was my first visit there and I was rather disappointed with the Japanese food there. The Udon was kind of tasteless and the fresh Tuna doesn’t taste really good. Even the Udon at Zanmai taste much better.

The atmosphere was great and how I wish James and his band members were there to perform Jazz!!! Anyway, we had a solo guitarist perform that night and he was actually not bad at all. We hang out until 11.45 pm and I reached home midnight. Happy day and Happy Gathering.....gonna miss you girls.

The next day at Genting was equally great! We actually wanted to have buffet breakfast at the hotel but we woke up slightly later and there goes the breakfast. Then, we went to first world to have our breakfast and couldn’t decide what to have.

The weather was really good on that day but is still so cold at around 16 degrees. We went to walk around and I actually went in to explore one of the casinos when the guard was not paying attention because I’m still under age and not suppose to go in....shhh. We left Genting quite late around 5 something after checking out and I’m gonna miss going trips with my family....

Last weekend was a great and awesome one to spent time with my family. We spent the whole Saturday and Sunday at Genting and it was my dad’s brilliant idea. So, we booked rooms online and check in around 4pm. We stayed at Theme Park Hotel and it was my first time staying at that particular hotel.

My dad drove all the way up and I thought it was much convenient and faster than the cable car service. The weather was really cold and very misty until most of the rides at the outdoor theme park have to stop operating. Luckily we didn’t go to theme park because I thought there was nothing new there. We headed to first world and that’s the only place to walk around other than casino and theme park.

Then here comes the moment which I enjoyed the most with my dear family...It was dinner time! We had our dinner at my favourite buffet place which is located at the Genting Hotel which is called “Coffee Terrace”. If anyone of you gonna visit Genting, please make your way to that buffet.

The price was reasonable about 60 Ringgit per person and they have Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Nyonya, Asian’s Favourite and western food! The desserts were really good except the cakes which tasted a bit off. They even have chocolate fountain and chocolate balls....and I’m so craving for it right now.

Last Friday was a good Friday, I hang out with the girls, Lucy, Mei and E at the Curve and we had our dinner at “Thank god is Friday”. As usual, the popular and famous TGIF is always packed with people and we had to wait for a while to be seated.

TGIF has its new makeover! They changed their menu, they present their food in bigger and nicer plates and they have got a couple of new dish. Although there were lots of people that night, but they served pretty fast. We sat there for fours chatting away and it was just great! I’m so gonna miss hanging out with these girls and I do hope we get to meet up again before I leave Malaysia.

After dinner, we hang around the Curve for a while and then we continue our second round and headed to Friendster Cafe with Yee Kuan and Wee Sing joining us that night. I went there once which was like two years ago and the place were still pretty much the same. Maybe they should change to facebook cafe instead and get the whole cafe to makeover just like Fridays!

We had lots of fun that night with all the crazy jokes and we played some games called Taboo and it was rather interesting. Mei got really excited during the game and the game was real addictive and we left the cafe at 12 something.....aww, really gonna miss those crazy moments with you all!

Happy belated Birthday Malaysia and this time, I spent my holiday back at Taiping with my family. Although it was just a short 2 days holiday but it was a fruitful one to spend some precious time with some of my relatives before I leave to UK.

The great day begins with getting out of the bed very early at 7.45am because initially, we planned to go Maxwell hill for a walk but the entire plan was cancelled because we kind of overslept. So, we just went for breakfast instead. Then, I went to my uncle’s place before we headed to a vegetarian restaurant for lunch because my grandma and aunty will be eating vegetarian for a day. I’m not a fan of vegetarian food but the dishes they served were pretty good at that particular restaurant.

After lunch, I went Tesco to hang out with my cousins and went to Secret Recipe because my little picky cousin brother was hungry. He dislikes eating rice and vegetarian food and that’s why he chooses not to eat during the lunch time. Naughty eh..!

Last Saturday was actually my last day teaching in PJ before I leave. I miss teaching all my students because they are all good but at the same time, I wanna take a long break from teaching and pursue my studies in music. It has been a great experience for me in teaching violin and, my boss and his wife are really great people.

After half day of teaching, I went straight home and pack because I’m going back to Taiping on the same day. I was real tired and my dad drove all the way to Taiping. We reached there around 8.30pm and went straight for dinner with my cousins. It was just so great to have hawker food there and I’m gonna miss those food soon!!!

Last Friday was a long day but yet it was a great day and night to hang out with friends. At around 2 something, I went lunch with Yung Hoong at Sunway Pyramid and we had Nandos....and thx for the lunch.....:) Then, we went skating for nearly 3 hours and my legs just got so tired later on.

Around 6.45pm, I left Pyramid and headed straight to Kepong for gathering and just after the exit from the pyramid car park, it started to jam all the way along the whole stretch of LDP and the cars were moving bumper to bumper. I have no idea why was it so jammed but it took me more than an hour to reach Kepong when it usually took me about 35 minutes.

I knew I was late coz I left pyramid late and I told Lucy about it but I never expect that I will be so late until I reach E’s house at 8pm instead of 7pm. I’m so sorry for waiting.....anyway, Lucy, Yee Kuan, Poh E and I went to Bandar Manjalara for steamboat dinner and it was great coz we were like cracking jokes all the time...lol.
