Haven't seen my brother playing the piano for months........I am now done with my final performance recital! Somehow, I miss performing still. My performance was just yesterday and I am the first performers. It was good to be the first to perform. Well, I was really happy with my own performance because I am 1% nervous and 99% having fun performing. Although I didn’t manage to sleep at all the night before my performance, but thank god I managed to set my mind and really concentrate on the repertoires.

As for my performance, I began with Bach concerto in D minor. I’m truly satisfied with the outcome and really happy that my coordination with Laura turns out alright although we rehearse for only three times for the entire semester. Once again, would like to thanks my piano tutor as well as my accompanist for Bach concerto. I could remember my previous piano tutor Miss Adeline Wong told me I can keep this concerto for my degree performance and she was totally right! My dream came true and I am honoured to play that beautiful concerto by Bach. Below is the video link of my performance on You-Tube and do enjoy...

My performance proceed with the second repertoire entitle “Wedding day at Troldhaugen” by Edvard Grieg. Initially, I wasn’t really interested with this piece when Laura suggested to me. Somehow, she made a good choice for me and I have no regrets playing it for my final performance although is quite a difficult piece to play.

Next, I go on with my favourite piece of all time! ‘The Man I Love’ by George Gershwin. Thanks to Laura again for suggesting the piece to me because I told her I would love to play a piece with essential jazz elements. Last but not least, I ended my performance with Gershwin Three Preludes. That was the toughest piece to me. I could not help it but to memorize the first and third prelude due to the extremely fast tempo. Thank god that I did not breakdown but manage to sail through. Happy Ending!

One more performance to go for my Independent project!!! Believe it or not, I haven’t really rehearsed on tomorrow’s performance. Spontaneity and randomness is good isn’t it? Stay tune for the next entry... I’m kinda nervous because I never did anything which I’m gonna do tomorrow. Wish me, my ballet instructor and dancer luck!

P/S: Really thanks for the support everyone especially the constant support from you! You know who you are........
