I know I should be blogging about how I spent my Chinese New year In London instead of Christmas Eve in this entry but I promise I’ll blog about my Chinese New Year entry later and it is still on a long waiting list. I will try to keep my blog updated whenever I have time and here it is..........

Christmas Eve in my aunt’s place was awesome!!! We had fried rice and fried dumplings for breakfast and they just taste so good. To be honest, my aunt’s homemade dumplings remind me of the famous dumplings at Esquire Kitchen and it taste so much better than the ones in Esquire Kitchen. My aunt is a really good cook and I miss her cooking so much.

Everywhere was pretty dull during Christmas Eve and we didn’t go anywhere except my aunt brought us to Colchester Nursery and they have lots of nice flower and plants over there. Then we had Nasi Lemak for dinner and every one of us really do enjoy the dinner but the fact is, we enjoyed every meal we had!

After dinner, we headed to the town around 9.30pm and we hang out in two different bars in one night to celebrate Christmas Eve together with my cousin brother and some of the friends. It was great to just chill and relax for the whole night! We got home around 1.30am and I was real exhausted.....

Breakfast in Colchester was great!!!
.
We had Bagel with ham for breakfast and it taste so good. Take a look at the lovely bagel picture which I had taken. After breakfast, my aunt brings us around Colchester Town and there were actually pretty much to see in the town. There were so many things to shop and the departmental stores are huge!

We went to the Hollytrees Museum and although it is not a very huge one but it is really an interesting museum indeed. I’m really proud to see my aunt’s pictures being displayed in the museum under the nurse section and she even had her first camera exhibit in the museum! It was so cool.......

Then, we walked around the park nearby the Museum and it is the nicest park I have ever seen in my life! Nevertheless, there were no flowers grow in the park because is winter season and I can’t wait to visit the park again during summer with my parents!!!
I’m sure it would be so beautiful......

Then, we had our lunch at Debenhams cafe and the food was good especially the macaroni cheese and fish and chips. After lunch, we walked around the town and got back to my aunt’s house around evening. Everyone was kind of exhausted because we had been going around visiting places every single day but I know that my aunt is the most tired among all of us. I really do appreciate that she spent all her time just to entertain us and bringing us around.

Daytrip to Oxford!!!
.
.

.
.
Me, my aunt, uncle and brother! HUGS
.
.
I was real excited to visit Oxford because parts of Harry Potter’s movie were film there and I would love to see the real scene of it. Before we leave to Oxford, my aunty made us bacon sandwich for breakfast and I love it!!! After breakfast, we left Colchester in two cars because there were all together six of us.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Oxford is pretty far and it took us more than 2 hours drive from Colchester. Oxford is definitely more congested than Cambridge and it was really difficult to find parking everywhere. We managed to find a parking after waiting for around 30 minutes.

.
.

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
We had Nandos for lunch when we first reached Oxford and it was my first time having Nandos in UK. The Nandos here were really good and the chicken taste really different from Malaysia ones. It is cooked by Portuguese and I called it as authentic Nandos!!! Right now, I’m loving Nandos.....

After lunch, we hang around Oxford and the Oxford Uni is just around the city. Their architecture are exceptionally different as in Oxford have their own unique style of building and they looks really old. I personally prefer Cambridge more than Oxford probably because I like the architecture in Cambridge which is more modernize.

After our visit to Lavenham, we headed to our next destination which is Cambridge and I was so happy to be there!!! It is another one hour journey from Lavenham and with the help of navigator, we could easily find our way to Cambridge.

We had our lunch there the moment we arrived. All of us had Baguette and apple pie and they taste really good!!! I miss the delicious apple pie so much! After lunch, we walked around Cambridge and we visit one of the Cambridge University there. I was amazed by the truly awesome scenery they have and I just fell in love with the place.

Cambridge definitely has a great environment for study and they had a nice river in their Uni compound. Nevertheless, I love my Uni too....P:) We left Cambridge around evening and I felt really uncomfortable on my way back to Colchester because the navigator directed my aunt to use the country side road instead of the Motor road. The country side road was real dark and windy, and it took us longer to reach Colchester.

During my Christmas holiday at my aunt’s place, I visited Lavenham and Cambridge on the same day itself. In the mean time, I’m just gonna blog about Lavenham in this entry because there were too many pictures to upload and it gonna take me ages to blog.

Before we leave to Lavenham, my aunty cooked us nasi lemak for breakfast and it was so good!!! I haven’t been having nasi lemak for three months and I miss it so much. After breakfast, my cousin sister came with her friends and we started our day tour to our first destination-crooked house!!!

Lavenham is a very nice and unique small village in the sense that most of the houses were crooked. It is around an hour drive from Colchester and the scenery along our journey is awesome. It reminds me of my journey to the City of Bath. The weather on that day was really nice and the blue sky was so captivating. I miss those moments.....

The moment we reached Lavenham, we went in a shop that sells all kinds of homemade candies and ice-creams. The candies were nice but the Belgium chocolate ice-cream that I had was just okay. Then, we walked around the village and some of the houses were really crooked and I wonder how they arrange their furniture in such a crooked manner.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
By the way, the crooked houses in Lavenham are all authentic and they have no intention to build the houses in such crooked design. One of the reason probably they do not have an accurate measurement when they build it and it turns out so crooked but amazing. Make sense?? We actually paid to visit one of the very old crooked house and it was pretty interesting to see the interior of it.

The journey to Colchester begins.....
.
.

.

.
.
I was real excited knowing that I’ll be spending my entire Christmas week at my aunt’s place at Colchester! After breakfast, I got all my stuff packed and left Uni with my brother before noon and we headed to Liverpool Station for the national express train.

.
.
.

.
.
.

.
.
.
We reached there pretty early at 1.30pm and our train was at 3pm. After I collected the advance tickets, we went Burger King for a drink and waited to get on the train. It was my first time travelling with an express train in London and the seats are very comfortable and they even have table on some of the seats.

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
I seriously enjoyed the 50 minutes journey to Colchester because I get to blog while listening to my favourite hits, and at the same time enjoyed the nice scenery along the journey. It was so relaxing and how I wish the journey can be longer. After we reached our destination, my aunty came and picked us up from the station and it was great to see her and her car!
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The moment I got into her car, I know how much I miss driving and it has been three months I didn’t travel by car but just underground and bus. My aunt’s house wasn’t far from the train station and Colchester is an awesome place! I just felt so good to be away from London for a moment because London is really crowded and chaotic.

My aunt’s house is lovely and she has nice Christmas deco! For once, I felt as if Im home and it made me miss my home!!! On the same day, my cousin sister from Malaysia and her friends came to my aunt house and we had dinner together. The dinner was great and I just love my aunt’s cooking!!! Right now, I’m craving for it...............

Well, this is a long but very meaningful entry to me. Enjoy reading guys and gils. Cheers...
Time really does flies and I couldn’t believe it has been exactly four months since the day I arrived in UK. I felt as if I just arrived last week. The great experience I had was beyond my dream and I’m really grateful that my parents made my dream come true.
.
Right here in this entry, I wanna say:
.

Well, there were so many happy moments in these four months and I will never ever forget those amazing moment from study to party vice versa. To be honest, it wasn’t easy to pursue the final year in a totally fresh surroundings. For me, I’m glad that I easily get used to everything and there were lots of new things to learn in such a new environment.

One of the unforgettable moments was the first time I experience snowing!!! I wasn’t expecting snow at all at that time because it wasn’t even winter and it was during October month. Everyone was talking about the snowing issue and I’m considered really lucky to see snow just one month after I arrived in London. I wonder when it will snow again......

There were moments that we have to be more independent but I was really lucky to have great friends around me. I enjoyed meeting new friends from different countries such as Greece, Japan, Korea, United States, Hong Kong, China, UK itself and of course Malaysia. They were all great people!!! Crazy times were really crazy....

The study environment here is really different in the way that everything has to be done professionally and some of the lectures were quite heavy especially when we had two hours of lectures at 9.30 in the morning. Nevertheless, I enjoyed every one of them knowing the fact that
time goes by.

Assignments and pieces were difficult
as well but that’s part of student’s life isn’t it? Lecturers are friendly and helpful as well but they can be really strict in grading. I do adored the way they conduct lectures in such a professional way which I think it is something that built over the years through experience and hard work.

There were people I miss, things I miss and occasion that I missed and gonna miss. “Sounded Complicated” I miss Malaysian food too!!! I couldn’t believe I actually miss those hawker foods in Malaysia more than any food!!! I’m missing my grand and piano as well because to be honest, most the piano in the music department here seriously needed touch up. The only grand that doesn’t need touch up is the only “Steinway”.

I was really happy to spend two precious weeks with my brother in London. Although two weeks is kinda short but it was a memorable one and of course, it was fantastic to spend the entire Christmas week at my aunt’s place in Colchester. I felt like giving her and my uncle a big hugs for everything especially their warmth and kindness towards every one of us. I appreciated that deeply in my heart.

The signature post!!!

Well, after the great and crazy moments at St. Paul Cathedral, every one of us was really starving and couldn’t make up our mind where to have our dinner. We headed to Sheppard Bush’s station and we were looking for the very new and huge shopping mall nearby.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Anyway, we couldn’t find the shopping mall because we headed to the wrong direction but instead we came to a smaller shopping mall and decided to just have our dinner there. There were not many choices and initially we wanted to have the oriental buffet but it was closed. So, we decided to go Weathers Spoon for western food.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
It was my first visit to Weathers Spoon and it was pack with people but their service wasn’t bad although I saw only a few waiters at work. They had pretty much of varieties in their menu and their price was fair for their portion. We had a great time there chatting for hours.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
After dinner, we hang around Sheppard Bush and we found the freaking huge mall. I haven’t seen such a big mall before since the day I arrived in London and it just reminds me of Malaysia’s shopping mall. We went in the mall and came out in less than 15 minutes because we had planed our next destination.

Since it was still early, we headed to London Eye and check out the German Christmas market around there. It was not as happening as the one in Hyde Park corner and in fact there were nothing much to see but still, there were lots of people around. Well, I was really tired and feeling sick after I got back to the halls but still, I have to force myself to pack and prepared for the massive two weeks holiday in Colchester and Scotland....WTH!

When my brother came over to London for holiday one month ago, he stayed over at my place for three nights before going over to my aunt’s place at Colchester. I shifted over to Sis’s room to sleep and Mun Ka shifted her bed to sis room as well so that three of us can share two beds. HUGS

Since three of us were sleeping together in one room, which means there will be no sleep but gossip. Anyway, we don’t really gossip but we wont stop chit-chatting until we have to force ourselves to sleep and thanks to Mun Ka who is always set off some conversation and made us talked and laughed for the entire night.

Well, I will always remember what my mum said:
.
“Three of you can go London and chat for the whole year”.
.
I always laugh when I think of that sentence because what my mum said was actually true and even me myself couldn’t understand what on earth we had so much to chat despite that we were living just next to each other in the halls. “Girls”

I had been busy going out every single day since my brother came and I haven’t got enough rest and sleep.
Anyway, the one day outing to the very famous church in London which is St. Paul Cathedral was a great one. There were quite a big group of us with all together eight of us and once more, I’m appointed as the tour guide. Hmm....I’m thinking of changing course.

The entrance fee to St. Paul Church is around 9 pounds and the interior of the cathedral is huge and spectacular. The architecture is unique and we were allowed to climb up to the whispering gallery through 257 winding steps. The whispering gallery is a relaxing place and it is built in a huge circle.

We were surprised that there is actually another gallery above the whispering gallery and it is called the stone gallery. It is another 119 steps from the whispering gallery and the steps are so narrow and windy. It was scary at first and we had to be real careful of the steps. I felt a little dizzy when I got up to the top.
.
.
.

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The stone gallery is an open space area and it was freaking windy and cold but it has a great view of London from the top. I couldn’t believe that we actually spent so long up there just to take pictures! Just imagine, everyone brought their camera along on that day and it was just extreme. Even the security offered to take our pictures and he actually enjoyed it.“Blek”

Right now, I’m almost done with my assignment and couldn’t wait to hand in on this coming Tuesday! But, I have to be mentally ready for a few more assignments in the next few weeks and I got loads of new pieces to learn and practice at the same time. In two weeks time, I’m might have to face another nightmare which I choose to face it myself....and I’m not telling what is it at the moment. Who knows it may turn out to be sweet dreams. “Winks”

Anyway, I finally pay a visit to Madame Tussauds!
Just in case you have not come across Madame Tussauds, it is a famous wax museum in London. It is one of
Must-Visit-Place in my list and it is indeed a place that worth to visit although the entrance fee is more than 20 pounds per person. Finally, I get to see some of the celebrities in wax figure and most of them look very real. When I first walked in to the entrance hall, I seriously couldn’t differentiate between real human and wax figure.

The place is really interesting with every celebrities posing differently and I just enjoyed posing and taking pictures with them. They have a few different sections such as the movie star, Hollywood, singers and many more. It was great to see the celebrities that I adored and Justin Timberlake’s wax figure looks cool! I love it!!! But I was disappointed that they do not have a wax figure of Jamie Oliver.

There is one particular section which I find it weird and it is the horror section. I failed to understand what they are trying to show in the horror section. I admitted that it was scary and we were screaming like mad and for no reason, we had to go through a dark passage and there are real people who disguise as devil which suddenly appeared in front of us and that was bloodcurdling. Believe it or not, it is more frightening than the London Dungeon!!!

Anyway, the final section is the most fascinating section of all. They have the minature taxi ride that brings us to see the spirit of London. We spent more than two hours there and it was just fantastic! I truly recommended to everyone that visit London, to pay a visit at Madame Tussauds.

Spooky!!!

.
Well, one of the London famous tourist attraction with its advertisement around every corner to attract people from all around the world!!!
.
The London Dungeon!!!

.
It’s seriously a place that draws visitors from far and wide including me myself, Yuva and my brother. Initially I wasn’t that interested in it after hearing some comments from the people who experienced it but since the boys are so excited about it, I decided to go with them and check it out.

London Dungeon is a place to see various tortures
from the Medieval Age. The entrance fee is around 20 pounds per person and I would say it is expensive but you might think that it is worth it just for experience. The moment we got in the Dungeon, everywhere was so dark and there were live actors who disguised as devil to take us around the Dungeon.
.
.
.

.
.
.

.
.
.

.
.
.
There are all together seven sections in the Dungeon and we had to go through all of them one by one. The first one was a mirror maze and all of us were left to wonder in the dark place by seeing reflections of ourselves. That one wasn’t scary at all but the kids were screaming like shhhh.

.
.
.

.
.
.

.
.
.
Then, we went through a few sections and they have stories to tell on each sections and it was actually pretty interesting. The most unforgettable scenario was they called boat ride to hell
. The ride is in almost total darkness and we couldn’t see anything but only to hear some scary sound effects. The coolest part was the boat suddenly goes backward and that was freaking fun!!!

The last section was the scariest of all because is the free fall drop
ride!!! We were taken to the top of the Dungeon by the elevator and the whole thing just drooped when we were all paying full attention to the story. It was fantastic!!! We spent more than an hour inside the Dungeon and then we headed to China Town for lunch. I brought the boys to try out the London Chicken rice and it was yummy!

Last month on the 16th December, I couldn’t join my brother to tour around London because I had to attend a tutorial in the morning. I was about to faint when I got the list of questions on my assignment because all of them were seriously killer question. Anyway, I decided to leave those questions until after my very long Christmas break because I was in Colchester and Scotland for all together two massive weeks! It was pretty stress that I have to deal with the assignment when I got back from my break and that’s the situation I’m currently dealing with. “Stress”

Basically, after the tutorial I had on that day, the day was followed by rehearsal for Christmas concert on that night itself. I was busy rehearsing with the choir and instrumental ensemble but it was pretty fun especially with the choir. Around 6.30pm, everyone dressed up in black and getting ready for the concert which starts at 7pm.

The concert started off with the Baroque ensemble with Hui Nee and I on the first violin, Peng and Lynette on second violin, Melinda on violin, Kostas on double bass and our tutor Maryann on the cello. I think we did a great performance for that night and glad that everything was much better than it was.

The concert was followed by the performance by the choir and there were all together around 30 of us for Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass. Guess what? I was one of the sopranos this time because I used to be in the alto in academy days. It was fun to be in the choir and I really do enjoy singing all the songs.

.
.

.
.
.
.
We sang eight songs all together and the same old thing happened again which was, I couldn’t stop smiling during the entire session because Mun Ka was making fun beside me and she tried to imitate the bass part. Anyway, it was a pleasure that the audiences enjoy our performance on that night.

Destination 1
.
.
During my brother’s visit to London which was three weeks ago, I brought them to a few “Definitely Must Visit” places. We started our day at 10.30am and our first destination was the ever famous clock “Big Ben”. We took some pictures there and off we go to our next destination to “My Dream Ride”.

Destination 2

Well, it’s the London Eye! My dream finally came true because I have always wanted to take a ride on the Eye since it was build. I was really happy to have my brother joining me in the London Eye experience and everything is just more than a dream to me! The ride wasn’t that long and it was just around 25 minutes for 16 pounds per person. It was a pricy ride but unforgettable experience after all....

Our next destination is Lester Square for lunch. We had some pricy fish and chips and I was actually disappointed with the fish because it was not crispy at all. Right now, I’m craving for my very first fish and chips in UK which I had at the beachside in Brighton. They tasted so much better! .

Destination 4

I’m certainly bored of destination 4 because I have been there quite a few times as well but it is a place that my brother always wanted to visit after reading some of my blog entries about it. Well, it’s the Hamleys and I guess every one of you that followed up with my blog will know Hamleys right??? The amount of people shopping for Christmas present were crazy and I was one of them too because I was busily looking for a Christmas present for my 2 years old nephew. It was a difficult job looking present for a small kid but anyhow I managed to find one.

It was great to visit so many places just in one day and we had our dinner Queensway so that it will be much more convenient for my brother and Yuva to get back to their hotel. For me, I have to take an hour underground back to my Halls and by the time I reached back, it was already 10pm. I was so tired and had been going out three days in a row...“phew"

I left Uni around 9.45am and I was supposed to meet my brother at 11am but I reached there 20 minutes earlier and waited them at Queensway Underground Station. Our first Destination was Buckingham Palace and we got down at St. James Park underground station. Buckingham Palace is really nice and we went to walk around the park which is just right opposite the palace and it was relaxing.

The second destination was Trafalgar Square. It was actually my second visit there and this time they had some X’mas decoration. It was great to see them!!!

Welcome to London Brother!!!
.
.

.
.
Sis, me and my dear England aunty!
.
.
Around noon, sis and me left Uni and headed to Heathrow airport
to welcome the two guys. Initially, Kaka was supposed to came with us but she had her room locked up and couldn’t open with the key from the outside. So, she needs to wait for the locksmith to fix it and that was real unpredictable.

Checking-in
.
.

.
.
.
It took us 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach Heathrow Terminal 3 by underground but we didn’t felt that long because we were chatting nonstop for the entire journey and at the mean while planning for our massive X’mas holiday!!! We reached Heathrow around 2pm and I meet my aunty who came all the way from Colchester to pick up my brother.

Since my brother and his friend haven’t check out, we went for some drink at the airport and the hot chocolate was really nice. After the drink, we waited for a while and they finally walked out from the departure gate. I was really happy to see them “Huggies”. Then, we first went to search for the Hotel that they will be staying for four nights and it took us quite long to get there because we had to change quite a few underground stations. .

Finally, we reached the hotel around 5pm and after they checked in, my aunty brought us for dinner and we had some Thai food. I really wanna thanks my aunt for helping us so much for searching the location of the Hotel and the nice dinner. “Heart”
